While attending the International Olympic Academy in Greece this July I was contacted by a Romanian journalist asking me for an interview. I was told it was for the student section of one of Romania’s most popular news websites and was meant to present the story of studies and multiple scholarships as a positive example to the students back home.
I have agreed and here is what came out of it. All  I can say is that I am deeply honored by the interview (I generally kept a low profile and didn’t hold any news conference or sent out press releases when I obtained my scholarships – Fulbright, one health Erasmus and the one at UWS for my PhD) and I am grateful for the opportunity given to share my story.
Of couse, I can”t read this but it must have been quite a thrill and also quite an inspiration to Romanian students who can see what can be done if you apply yourself:))
