\"\"<\/a>The Digital Communication Strategies course that I teach at Bournemouth University now has its own social media presence in the form of a twitter<\/a> account, website like this<\/a> blog<\/a> and dedicated Delicious stack<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This term is very practice-focused so it makes sense to enable the course to exist and operate within the environment that it covers. It is my hope that by sharing the lectures on the blog, engaging with the students via twitter to answer their questions and put them in touch with professionals and companies by and providing them with case studies, links, talks and articles about the latest developments via the blog and the Delicious stack, the students will be given numerous opportunities to reflect on social media practices while improving their social media skills. It is also my hope that by sharing what we do, the Digital COmmunication Strategies’ course presence online will not only provide an example about using digital and social media in education but also receive feedback from students, educators and practitioners alike.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The twitter and blog are co-run with my colleagues that hold the seminars with the marketing and advertising students (I host the lecturers and run the PR seminars).<\/p>\n
